EVENT: Susan G. Kommen Wisconsin hosted its More Than Pink Gala: Masquerede Ball at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts.
CAUSE: Proceeds raised at the event benefited the organization’s Breast Cancer Assistance Fund which pays for mammograms, additional diagnostic tests needed to diagnose breast cancer, transportation to and from chemotherapy treatments, bills and child care. Funds also assisted education for men and women on breast health.
PROCEEDS: More than $70,000 was raised through ticket and table sales, silent and live auctions, fundraising games and a giving campaign.

EVENT: Aarambh Indian Dance School hosted its first Dance-a-thon event to raise funds for animal rescue organizations Milwaukee Pets Alive, ALAI Rescues (Bangalore, India) and Let's Live Together (Bangalore, India).
CAUSE: A five hour dance session teaching hip hop, tap, salsa, afro-beat and Bollywood dance raised proceeds to benefit the three animal rescue organizations that hosted the event.

The Alzheimer’s Association hosted its annual gala, A Night to Remember, at the Pfister Hotel, where guests enjoyed silent and live auctions, entertainment and dinner. The Milwaukee Art Museum recently celebrated its annual Art in Bloom event. Guests enjoyed stunning, art-inspired floral displays throughout the museum, a floral-fashion runway show featuring gowns and accessories created entirely out of flowers, and horticultural lectures and workshops. Crafts & Drafts, an annual beer fest and fundraiser sponsored by Discount Liquor, took place at Serb Hall. Kapco Metal Stamping hosted its 9th annual Grand Slam Charity Jam at the Milwaukee Center and Pabst Theater. The event featured a cocktail reception, gourmet dinner, live and silent auctions, a Pabst Theater concert by the Village People featuring original lead singer Victor Willis, plus an after party. Proceeds benefit Camp Hometown Heroes, which supports children of fallen military members; Camp Reunite, which reunites children and their incarcerated parents; and other life-changing social programs. EVENT: The American Heart Association hosted the Red Dress Collection at the Italian Community Center.
CAUSE: The fashion show – which featured designs from Faye’s and Mount Mary University fashion students modeling their own designs – raised awareness and funds for the Go Red Campaign to provide health education and awareness programs on heart health to women in the community.
