Reflections Theme Table

EVENT: Desining Women With a Cause hosted its 25th annual Reflections theme table event at Waukesha’s St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
CAUSE: Proceeds raised at the event benefited Waukesha area nonprofits for 25 years with Adaptive Community Approach Program (ACAP) currently the sole beneficiary since 2002.
PROCEEDS: Ticket sales, a cocktail event, a luncheon, and live and silent auctions garnered $53,000 to benefit ACAP as they help serve adults with disabilities in the Waukesha region.

Milwaukee SCORES CUP

EVENT: Milwaukee SCORES hosted its SCORES CUP at the Uihlein Soccer Park.
CAUSE: Proceeds raised benefited Milwaukee SCORES and its after school and summer youth development programming for children in Milwaukee’s urban neighborhoods. Proceeds supported soccer uniforms and equipment, academic supplies, transportatio and, most importantly, the opportunity for youth to be connected with positive adult role models.
PROCEEDS: Corporate sponsors and individual donations garnered $52,000.

CREO Fashion Show

New this year, Mount Mary University President Christine Pharr and fashion designer and alumna Donna Ricco hosted A Fashionable Tea special event after the annual CREO student designer fashion show. Lakefront Festival of Art

For more than 50 years, Lakefront Festival of Art has been bringing art to life on Milwaukee’s lakefront. Started in 1963, this three-day fundraising event has evolved from a gathering of a handful of artists to a vibrant, exciting and wide-ranging festival with a wide array of art, food, music and activities for the whole family. Ronald McDonald House Spring Food and Families Luncheon 2019

The Ronald McDonald House Charities held its Third Annual Food and Families Spring Luncheon at the Milwaukee Country Club. Women gathered for sips, silent auction and a scrumptious lunch followed by a short program featuring a special guest family. Baumgartner Center for Dance Grand Opening

MKE Lifestyle was there when the Milwaukee Ballet officially unveiled its new Baumgartner Center for Dance on Wednesday, Sept. 4 — officially proclaimed Milwaukee Ballet Day by Mayor Tom Barrett, who joined the festivities. The ceremony also featured speeches by the center's benefactors Don and Donna Baumgartner, County Executive Chris Abele, Milwaukee Ballet’s Board Chair/President Justin Mortara and longtime Milwaukee Ballet Artistic Director Michael Pink. Milwaukee Ballet opens its 50th season with Coppélia — the first full-length ballet the new corps performed back in 1970 — on Oct. 17.

The Big Event 2019

More than 500 Greater Milwaukee-area businesses and community leaders celebrated the power of the arts with co-chairs Barri and Dave Drury and The Burke Family in an all-inclusive evening featuring live entertainment, arts experiences, cocktails, small plates, voice auctions and an after party filled with music, dancing, late-night food and more.
