Go Red for Women

Gerhard’s Kitchen and Bath Store kicked off American Heart Month and National Wear Red Day at the Kohler Signature Store in Wauwatosa with an event that featured healthy cooking demonstrations by culinary chef Michael Feker. Guests enjoyed complimentary heart-healthy bites and refreshments. Proceeds benefited the American Heart Association and Go Red for Women.

EVENT: The Italian Community Center held its 39th annual Il Grande Carnevale at the Pompeii Grand Ballroom in the Italian Community Center.
CAUSE: The event, which is a pre-Lenten tradition in Italy, raised awareness of and promoted Italian culture across southeastern Wisconsin.

Rabbits Unlimited MS Fundraiser

EVENT: The Rabbits Unlimited Ltd. organization hosted its 16th annual Rabbits Unlimited fundraiser at Circle B Recreation.
CAUSE: Proceeds from the event benefited the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Wisconsin and high school scholarships.
PROCEEDS: Through admittance fees, silent and live auctions, games and donations, the event garnered $58,000.

St. Anthonys Benefit Concert

EVENT: St. Anthony Project Homeless Shelter held the Groundbreaking Rock ’n’ Roll Benefit Concert at Turner Hall Ballroom.
CAUSE: Funds raised supported furnishings and amenities for the Capuchin Community Services St. Anthony Homeless Shelter.
PROCEEDS: The concert garnered approximately $2,800.

Remarkable Milwaukee

EVENT: Historic Milwaukee Inc. hosted its Remarkable Milwaukee event at the Milwaukee County War Memorial.
CAUSE: Proceeds benefited Historic Milwaukee Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to increasing awareness of and commitment to Milwaukee’s history, architecture and preservation of the city’s built environment through education.
PROCEEDS: Ticket sales, sponsorships, raffles and a silent auction raised approximately $38,600.

EVENT: Milwaukee’s Finest Scholarship Foundation hosted its second annual charity event at Marquette University’s Haggerty Museum of Art.
CAUSE: All proceeds raised benefited scholarships for Milwaukee County high school seniors.
