EVENT: Hope Without Borders hosted its Ignite HOPE benefit at the South Shore Pavillion.
CAUSE: Proceeds raised at the event fund the organizationís local homeless outreach project, as well as sustainable community development projects in Africa, such as water, sanitation, hygiene, education and access to medical services.
PROCEEDS: Ticket sales, raffles and silent auciton bids garnered $20,000.
More than 200 Greater Milwaukee-area business and community leaders gathered at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts sixth annual Literary Luncheon. Proceeds support the Wilson Centerís arts education programming, which serves more than 10,000 students throughout Southeast Wisconsin every year. The event featured, a gourmet lunch, refreshments, a pop-up boutique and a local bookstore providing guests the opportunity to shop some of the hottest fall titles while supporting the arts. A percentage of the proceeds went to the Wilson Center.

EVENT: The Milwaukee Habitat Young Professionals, an arm of Milwaukee Habitat, hosted its Simple Supper at Simple Cafe.
CAUSE: Proceeds from the event benefited the Global Village trip attendees, who will, in ordinance with Habitatís mission, travel to El Salvador, where they will help to develop communities with safe, affordable housing while being immersed in another culture.
EVENT: The St. Josaphat Basilica Foundation hosted its 18th annual Loaves and Fishes Gala at the Historic Pritzlaff Building.
CAUSE: Proceeds raised at the event benefited the foundationís mission to preserve, restore and enhance the Basilica as a landmark, center of spirituality and community asset.
PROCEEDS: Live and silent auctions, raffles and a special appeal for the restoration of stained glass windows garnered more than $100,000.
EVENT: GiGiís Playhouse hosted its GiGiís Brew Ha Ha at the University Club of Milwaukee.
CAUSE: Proceeds raised at the event benefited expanding GiGiís Playhouseís programming, as well as helping individuals learn to read, improve health and wellness and develop career skills.
PROCEEDS: $38,000 was raised through auction items, a paddle raise and fund-a-need platforms.
EVENT: Prevent Blindness Wisconsin hosted its Celebrity Waiters Dinner, ďCelebrating 60 Years of Saving Sight,Ē at the Italian Community Center.
CAUSE: Proceeds raised at the event provide certified vision screenings to more than 250,000 children throughout the state annually.
PROCEEDS: This yearís event broke records, garnering $155,000 through a wine pull, winnerís choice raffle, and silent, live and paddle auctions.
Lutheran Home held an opening reception for its
sixth annual Intergenerational Art Show. For this
yearís show, children from the Lutheran Homeís
Childrenís Center and senior residents from skilled
nursing, memory care and adult day services
teamed up for intergenerational activities and art.
Together they created works of art that are put on
display and then sold to the public.
