CAUSE: The event raised both awareness of the foundation and funds for its mission to support local nonprofits.

Friends Feathered In Fashion

EVENT: The Oconomowoc Women’s Club hosted its annual Friends Feathered in Fashion style show at The Golden Mast.
CAUSE: Proceeds raised at the event benefited local charities, including Angels Grace Hospice, Hebron House, Lake Area Free Dental Clinic, Lake Area Free Medical Clinic, Lake Country Shoes That Fit, The Women’s Center, Wildlife in Need Center and more.
PROCEEDS: Tickets and a raffle garnered $11,654.

Literacy Luncheon 2020

EVENT: Sharon Lynne Wilson Center hosted its seventh annual Literacy Luncheon: Becoming Queen Elizabeth II.
CAUSE: Proceeds raised at the event benefited the center’s mission to be the catalyst for lifelong discovery and exploration of the arts.
PROCEEDS: A live auction, raffle, ticket sales, sponsorships and an appeal garnered $48,643.

Fashionably Fair in Fashion Show

EVENT: Plowshare hosted its 30th anniversary and ninth annual Fashionably Fair in Fall Fashion Show at the Southminister Presbyterian Church.
CAUSE: Proceeds raised benefited Plowshare’s educational outreach programs that support peace and social justice issues, providing free community programs.
PROCEEDS: Ticket sales, sponsorships, donations, a silent auction, a wine pull, soda sales and mini marketplace sales raised $15,805.

The Art of Poetry Soiree

EVENT: Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum hosted its Art of Poetry event at Villa Terrace.
CAUSE: Proceeds raised at the event supported America SCORES Milwaukee after-school program, which provides meaningful writing, service-learning and soccer programming to first through fifth graders.
PROCEEDS: $15,000 was raised for the literary aspect of SCORES’ program, and a live fund-a-need appeal garnered additional funding to send three poet-athletes to Chicago to participate in a regional poetry competition.

WMSE Rockabilly Chili Fundraiser 2020

91.7FM WMSE held its 18th annual Rockabilly Chili Fundraiser at the MSOE Kern Center in Milwaukee. Local restaurants, cafes and caterers competed against one another to determine the city’s best chili in five different categories: veggie, heat, meat, unique and display. Winners were determined by votes from event attendees. The event also featured a special Milwaukee Police Department vs. Milwaukee Fire Department competition, live music from Long Line Rangers and chili pepper races. Proceeds support 91.7FM WMSE, a nonprofit, community-supported radio station.

Sips for Sarcoma

EVENT: Medical College of Wisconsin hosted Sips for Sarcoma: A Soiree for Research at the Milwaukee Art Museum.
CAUSE: Proceeds from the event benefited sarcoma research at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
PROCEEDS: Silent and live auctions, a call for donations and donations prior to the event garnered $120,000.
